Say hello to Acer’s brand new smartphone range, which we’ve been eagerly awaiting for a good few months. We’re still waiting for the full spec breakdown and we’re interested to know what kind of power these sizeable beauties are packing under the hood, but in the meantime we’ve got the skinny on their main features and a gallery full of images of them in all their naked glory .
First there’s the Acer Tempo X960. Acer reckons this gives you everything you need from a smartphone, and it’s not far wrong: it packs GPS, Navigon mapping software, HSPA connectivity, a 3.2 megapixel camera and MP3 player.
The WinMo OS has been re-skinned with a widget-based interface to give you fast access to the functions you need most, direct from the homepage. Plus, the virtual keyboard has been enhanced for faster typing. Even so, we still see that there’s a stylus tucked away at the base, which doesn’t leave us brimming with confidence about ...
