Alienware launches M17 notebook

Not the lightest thing to lug around at a whopping 5.35kg, but if you're up for a spot of serious gaming, the Alienware M17 notebook has both the speed and the power to deal with the most vicious on-screen nasties. The M17 is unpinned by by the world's first mobile quad-core processor, the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 and is Alienware's first notebook with ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology, featuring dual ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 cards to deal with the most intense pixel onslaught. Throw in up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 17-inch 1920 x 1200 Extreme High-Definition LCD, 1TB of storage and optional Blu-ray and you can kiss that old desktop goodbye for good. Prices start at £999, but once you've spec'd it up, expect to be paying much more. Link: Alienware (link)
