Amazon To Offer Some VOD Movies, TV Shows In HD

Amazon.com (AMZN ) this afternoon announced that it is now offering some movies and television shows from its Amazon Video On Demand services in high def. The company said it is offering “more than 500″ TV shows and movies from major studios. Amazon will charge $3.99 to $4.99 to rent HD movies on compatible devices from Panasonic , Sony , TiVo and Roku ; TV shows in HD will be available for purchase at $2.99 on compatible devices or via the Web on PCs or Macs.
