Is Apple (AAPL) getting ready to launch the iPhone in China?
AppleInsider reports that Apple on Thursday posted a job for an “iPhone Quality Assurance Engineer” in Beijing. The blog says that the person would “focus on international releases of our iPhone and iPod touch products for Beijing.”
AppleInsder contends that “the engineering position represents one of Apple’s authoritative steps towards an iPhone launch in China, which has frequently been one of the hardest cellular markets to crack for the California-based electronics maker.”
But here’s the thing: the job posting apparently is gone. Why? I dunno. Either the job was filled; the job was pulled; Apple didn’t want people to jump to the right conclusion; or Apple didn’t want people to reach the wrong conclusion.
For reasons that have nothing to do with this , Apple today is down $5.58, or 5.8%, to $90.86.
