Wal-Mart (WMT) will reportedly start selling the Apple (AAPL) iPhone in some of its stores and in some Sam’s Club stores on December 28, according to the blog Boy Genius Report .
The same information is being reported this morning by analyst Jamie Townsend of research firm JRPG .
The Boy Genius post says that “it looks like everyone is still in the dark with regards to pricing and we expect it to stay that way to avoid slowing MSRP iPhone sales during the holidays.” JRPG asserts that sales of the phone through Wal-Mart will likely still require a two-year contract with AT&T (T) is likely to be priced at the same or less than at AT&T or Apple stores.
Apple this morning is up 14 cents, or 0.2%, to $90.05.
