Axiotron launches the Modbook Pro

If you were underwhelmed with Apple's offerings at MacWorld, you might be slightly more impressed with Axiotron's Apple-based offering, the Modbook Pro. Sleek and stylish, the Modbook Pro is the tablet that Apple has never quite got round to issuing, although that could all change before the year is out . In the meantime, this will do just nicely for us, offering the guts of the all-new MacBook Pro coupled with a 15.4-inch WXGA display and Axiotron's Synergy Touch technology for touch and pen-based control. Well, we all like a doodle now and again, don't we? You can even type and draw at the same time, should you deadline be tight and operate in both landscape and portrait mode - clever stuff. Everything else is just as Apple intended, but with one significant bonus - you can order your Modbook with both the Mac OS and Windows Vista via a partitioned drive, the best of both worlds if you like. Prices start at $4,999 (around £3,300). Link: Axiotron        ... (link)
