Just when you thought it was safe to buy a new BlackBerry, another one is incoming - although the BlackBerry Curve 8900 (aka the Javelin) is so far confined to Germany.
An upgrade to the existing Curve range, it offers up an improved 480 × 360 display, Wi-Fi, GPS, an auto focusing 3.2MP camera, microSD slot and a slightly altered keyboard and trackball. No 3G connectivity though, which could be a deal breaker. And let's be honest, it's not half as sexy as a Storm is it? Although it's probably twice as functional for the average executive.
If you want to update your current Curve, it's here and waiting...in a T-Mobile shop in Germany. But don't despair, the UK arm of T-Mobile has been reluctant to bring the Bold to market for months and if we were betting types, we just might put a small wager on the 8900 arriving on its shelves before the year is out.
