You can't keep RIM down right now. Just days after getting our juices flowing with the BlackBerry Storm, the smartphone maker is officially offering its latest consumer-friendly handset - the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 (or 'Flip' if you prefer).
OK, it's only being offered in the US right now, but we don't expect much of a delay for a UK launch, especially with 'exclusive' network T-Mobile struggling to release the Bold in useable form. If you like the original Pearl, you might like this too, with the same SureType keyboard, along with W-Fi, Bluetooth, media player, two 'light-sensing' displays (inside and out), up to 16GB of storage (via card) and of course, an email-friendly interface.
You can bag one in black from today in the US - red and silver to follow too, for what's likely to be the usual 'free on contract' deal in the UK.
