Blu-ray disc of the week: Batman: The Dark Knight

 
Plot Fresh from taking out Ra's al Guul in Batman Begins, Bats is faced with his most celebrated nemesis, the psychopathic Joker, who has hijacked Gotham's crime community. This time new District Attorney Harvey Dent joins the caped crusader in cleaning up the city.   The Review You've all seen the film, read all of the superlatives and heard more than enough eulogising about Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker. So let's stick to the visuals. How does The Dark Knight measure up on Blu-ray? Well, take those superlatives, add in a few more and you'll be somewhere close, because after thousands years on this planet, we've finally realised why eyes were invented.   Due to some HDMI cable issues, we were initially subjected to watching through an AV cable (spits). However, thanks to some first class wiggling, full HD was ours and the immediate, second viewing was truly something to behold.
