CES: Live Blogging The Palm Press Conference

In a few minutes, we get to find out if there’s actually a realistic future for Palm (PALM). The company is hold a press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas to discuss (apparently) its long awaited new mobile OS, and perhaps some new smartphones. It just might a be bet the company moment for Palm, which has struggled with the flood of new smartphones from rivals like Apple , Research In Motion and many others. He says Fred Anderson and Roger McNamee of Elevation Partners sent Ed Colligan to visit him while Rubenstein was living in Mexico, to lure him to Palm to re-ignite innovation at Palm. Rubenstein said he agreed. Why? He says it was a great business opportunity, but also an incredible product opportunity. ... (link)
