Cowon O2 media player heads to the UK

Not exactly an iPod killer, but the Cowon O2 could certainly tweak the nose of Apple's finest. And it's coming to the UK. Take your pick from 16GB or a whopping 32GB of flash storage. And if that's not enough, you can whack in an SDHC card for up to 32GB more. Video is via the HD-friendly 4.3-inch TFT LCD screen and there's compatibility for just about every audio and video format around. We'll not list them - let's just say if it exists, it probably plays. Even 'Monkey Audio', should you be a musical monkey. You can add to that video recording, photo viewing, a healthy battery life (18 hours of music per charge) and an open source operating system, which could mean some interesting downloads and widgets in the coming months. The one thing we don't know as yet is the price - but if previous Cowon players are anything to go by, it's unlikely to break the bank. Link: Cowon (link)
