Last week Tesco lifted the lid on Dell's latest netbook, the Inspiron Mini 10, before Dell had even announced it themselves - very naughty of the supermarket. It hasn't taken Dell too long to catch up to the British retailer, as this monring they formally announced the 10.1-inch netbook to the family.
Joining the Inspiron Mini 9 and Mini 12 , the Mini 10 measures 10.1-inches with a 16:9 display, making it on the larger end of the netbook scale, and weighing 1.3kg. Dell's claiming the keyboard is 92% the size of a full-size one, meaning this particular model will be more suited to men who find the 8.9-inch models too fiddly to type on.
The touchpad features multi-touch gestures for easy navigation, and the hardware is also sporting a HDMI output, inbuilt webcam, and either a 120GB or 160GB hard drive. RAM is 1GB, and Windows XP is a given. Optional features available later this year include an internal digital TV tuner, Ubuntu 8.04, optional inbuilt GPS and 2GB RAM and 250GB ...
