Denon launches universal DVD-A1UD Blu-ray player

Denon has launched the DVD-A1UD Blu-ray player, guaranteed to playback your Blu-ray discs and indeed, to empty your bank account. It does something else of significance too - it plays SACD and DVD-Audio discs. If you're a serious audiophile, you're probably getting very excited about that news. If those premium formats mean absolutely nothing to you, we're guessing you're quite happy with your CDs and downloads - and the DVD-A1UD would be something of a waste of money. Although it's certainly a tasty Blu-ray player in its own right, with features including the Realta Silicon Optix video processor for richer 1080p images, two HDMI 1.3a connectors, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound, Vertical Stretch for CinemaScope aspect ratio support, Denon's Pixel Image Correction and with the player being BD Live-ready, you can also grab all those online extras too. £3,299 will bag you one of these beauties, look out for it in March 2009.
