Diodes Boosts Q2 Guidance; Stock Jumps

Diodes Inc. (DIOD) , a Dallas-based producer of discrete and analog chips, is trading higher this morning after lifting its Q2 guidance. The company said that due to improving orders, primarily in Asia, it now sees revenue up 22%-30% sequentially, rather than the 14%-22% increase it had previously forecast. Diodes said it now sees gross margin in the quarter of 24%-28%, rather than the previously forecast range of 20%-24%. Diodes said the improved demand has been driven by products used in LCD TVs and panels, set-top boxes, mobile phones and netbooks. DIOD today is up $1.32, or 8.4%, to $17. (link)
