Sometimes, a picture does say a thousand words. Although in this case, it's 'Want' scrawled a thousand times over increasingly heavy and frenzied script.
This is the Gene Simmons Axe Guitar, which does exactly what it says on the tin: it's had Gene Simmon's signature (yeah, he's the guy from Kiss; big tongue, real hit with the ladies), it has Gene Simmon's snarling face on it, it's a guitar and it's shaped like a dirty great axe. Rawk!
Presumably because a real-life instrument of this sort would have all the musical properties of a wet sock, the Axe Guitar is designed for Guitar Hero and Rock Band - the two warring rhythm game franchises that are hoping to defy the credit crunch this Xmas.
It features a bi-directional strum bar, ultra-responsive fret buttons and an analogue whammy bar. So basically it's just an ordinary rhythm game guitar, but shaped like an axe. Well, we're sold.
There are versions available for PS3, PS2 and Wii, but not Xbox 360 for some reason.
