Samsung and Nokia already have sport-friendly mobile phones on the market, so it makes sense for Google to adapt the G1 for that very purpose, introducing My Tracks for Android phones.
When we say sport, we mean running or cycling in the great outdoors, with My Tracks able to work with Google Maps to record your exertions, showing a map of the ground covered, throwing in performance stats too, should be ultra-serious about it all. Or if you're not so serious, you can probably record a pub crawl too, marking the best hostelries on your map as you go.
And that's not all. Once you've finished you trek, you can opt to send those stats to Google Docs to build up a training record or if you really want to be a big show-off, you can share via email and Twitter. And it's all done by simply pressing the 'record' button. And of course, downloading the app, which you can do via the link below.
