Yes that’s right, the ‘I Am Richer’ app launched on Friday is purely about status and the right to ‘flash that cash’.
Upon purchase users are given a blue diamond that is displayed on the screen, which is supposed to highlight your considerable wealth to others. Or, on the other hand, your considerable stupidity.
Last year a similar app for the iPhone launched, called ‘I Am Rich’, which was priced at $1000. Shelling out for this app got you a red diamond to display as opposed to Android’s blue one. After floods of complaints, Apple removed the app from their store after just one day – however several people were stupid enough to actually buy it before Apple yanked it.
After the news that Google was fixing the maximum price of apps at $200, you’ll be pleased to learn the ‘I Am Richer’ app for the Android platform is a ‘mere’ 200 notes.
