Not to be outdone by the iPod fridge, the humble cooker is getting hi-tech with the VELA rangehood from ILVE.
No, your eyes do not deceive you, this is a 10-inch LCD TV slapped over a cooker, which is pretty dam perfect if you happen to be cooking along with Gordon Ramsay on a Friday night. If you don't fancy that, there's also connectivity for a DVD player or games console.
Downsides? Well, let's be honest, a TV nearly touching the ceiling isn't going to do your neck any favours and we'll guess it's not too easy to upgrade either.
But it's still a stylish piece of kit and a useful one too. The rangehood also removes all cooking fumes and debris as you cook. Just as well - you don't want to be wiping a film of grease off your TV each day. No news on price, but we'll guess it comes at a premium.
