Kogan launches Agora Android phones

 
Not keen to sign your life away with T-Mobile for a G1 handset? Well, now there's not one but two sim-free contenders on the block - the Agora and Agora Pro. T3 presents: Top ten upcoming Android apps Compared to shelling out for an 18-month contract, this is certainly the cheap option, with the standard Agora offering that now-familar Google-loving Android functionality, as well as a 2.5-inch touchscreen, 3G connectivity, a backlit QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0 and a microSD slot. If you want to upgrade to to the Pro model, there's also GPS, a 2MP camera and Wi-Fi, well worth the extra expense in our book. Sound too good to be true? Well, in a way, it is. An Android phone needs data, lots of it, so realistically you will have to sign up to some kind of package. But at least you can shop around for a sim-only deal at your provider of choice.
