Luxurious Atomic Floyd headphones launch

 
If you're going to upgrade the regular iPod headphones, you might as well do it in style. And headphones don't get much more stylish than Atomic Floyd. Designed by Stefan Andrén (known for his work for the likes of Nike, Motorola, Dell and Microsoft, as well as the Nike+ kit), the headphones  are inspired by high-end watches and classic cars, understated luxury if you like. And that mix of titanium and 24 carat gold isn't the only selling point - they're not bad on the sound front either. A 'Twist2Fit' system wraps the 'phones closely to your ear canal, while an Acoustic Steel chamber maximises the volume and clarity. Certified acoustics too, just so you know they have passed all the aural tests you can throw at them - up there with Bose, Sennheiser and Bang & Olufsen claims the maker. But you might want to check that out before you buy. And you can buy a pair from December 1st for a very non-luxurious price of between £80 and £120. Just a shame they have a name ... (link)
