Obviously it's not officially available here, but that hasn't stopped many people from getting their hands on an imported Microsoft Zune. And if you were an early adopter, you just might have had a shock as we entered 2009.
A fault in the software of first-generation 30GB models has cause booting problems and frozen start-up screens, believed to be down to an error with the calendar - possibly down to said calendar updating after a leap year. But don't despair (and don't throw your player away), Microsoft are all over it.
According to the computing giant, the internal clock will automatically reset. All you have to do is allow the battery to 'fully run out of power' (not difficult for your average MP3 player) to restart successfully, then recharge, then turn back on. If you have a later model, it's not a problem - they seem to be unaffected.
