Nokia gets sporty with N79 Active

 
Want to get fit for the new year? Want a new phone? Well, step right up, Nokia wants to be your friend with the N79 Active bundle. The phone itself has been kicking about since August last year , the smallest of the N-series phones,  offering a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, an FM transmitter, pre-loaded games, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity and a 4GB microSD card. Ok, none of that will lighten your post-Christmas load - but the wireless Polar Bluetooth WearLink heart rate belt from Polar just might help things along. Yes, we're talking jogging, with the belt keeping a check on your vital organs, while the built-in A-GPS tracking and a new version of the Nokia Sports Tracker application offering up data on your progress and running routes. Nokia also suggests you 'share the tracks you listened to while working out' and 'upload and geotag route images', but we think that's pushing a point just a little too far.
