If the incessant TV ad campaign for the Comes With Music service isn't converting you to the cause, maybe a slightly upgraded handset will? Like a Nokia N96 maybe?
Yes, we have it on good authority that you will soon be able to get Nokia's flagship N-series phone with unlimited music downloads. Well, you are (in practice) limited to what your hardware can hold at any one time, but with this being the N96, that shouldn't be an issue. Remember, it has 16GB of storage and a microSD slot, which will certainly keep you going for a good chunk of your 12-month contract.
Obviously there are drawbacks - DRM and WMA for a start. And we're still not sure what will happen to your tunes when your contract ends. In theory, you can keep them, how this works in practice we'll know late next year. And with the all singing and dancing N97 round the corner, do you really want to commit to its older brother?
If you do, the N96 and Comes With Music should be available in time for Santa's sleigh and ...
