Packard Bell dot netbook hits the UK

Still not bought a netbook? Well, it sounds like you're hard to please - and we can't see the Packard Bell dot netbook tipping you over the edge. We first got the scoop on this back in September and if looks are important to you, the 8.9-inch dot netbook might well appeal, packing a design aimed more at consumers than the folk in suits. But underneath that sleek exterior hides absolutely nothing of note. Yes, you get an Intel Atom processor, along with 1GB of memory, a slightly above average 160GB of storage, a webcam, Wi-Fi, card reader and the option of 3G, but let's be honest, just about every netbook on the market right now offers the same - and in some cases, a little bit more. The dot netbook hits PC World in January for £299. If you can't wait, the likes of Dell, HP, Toshiba, Samsung and of course Asus offer more or less the same. And you can have one of those in your hands by the weekend. Link: Packard Bell (link)
