Palm To Announce….Something

As Engadget points out this morning , Palm (PALM) has a short note on its official corporate blog advising that they will make some sort of announcement later today at the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco. (Interesting that they chose to unveil whatever it is there, and not at the CTIA Wireless show also taking place this week.) What investors would like to hear are details on the pricing or release date for the Palm Pre . But we’ll see if they’re ready to do that yet; stay tuned. PALM today is up 19 cents, or 2.2%, to $8.78. (link)
