Research In Motion: Slide Out Keyboard For Storm 2?

Research In Motion (RIMM) is working on a second-generation touch-screen BlackBerry Storm that could be available through Verizon (VZ) as soon as September, according to UnwiredView.com . The site says the existence of the new version of the phone has been confirmed by a spokesman for RIMM in the Netherlands. (They actually got the the news from the Dutch site Tweakers.net . Here’s a convoluted English translation , via Google Translate .) Anyway, the new version of the phone will supposedly be WiFi capable, and according to UnwiredView might have a slide-out keyboard to go along with the touch screen. That would make the new version of the Storm a lot like the Palm (PALM) Pre , which will feature a touch-screen and slide out keyboard. RIMM today is up $2.33, or 3.88%, to $62.28. (link)
