Are you ready for the Christmas rock-off to end them all? November 21st sees the European release of Rock Band 2. That's just seven days after its great rival Guitar Hero: World Tour takes the stage.
Yes, we're geared up for a festive Battle of the Bands on Xbox 360 after producer Harmonix granted Microsoft a timed exclusive release on the game.
You'll have to make do with your old kit for the first few weeks however, as new and improved instrument packs will not be available until December.

The news comes as a blow for Sony PlayStation and Nintendo Wii fans, with no confirmation of when the rockbusting simulator will be available on those formats. That is sure to push them further towards the Guitar Hero stable with their cross platform release coming on November 14th.
