SanDisk: Quick, Someone Start A New Rumor

So, uh, about that rumor that Toshiba was planning a new bid for SanDisk (SNDK) ? It seems no one believes it anymore. As I wrote yesterday , there are big problems with concept of a bid from Toshiba, not the least of which is that Toshiba is already highly leveraged, and might not have an easy way to raised the $2 billion-$3 billion it would take to buy SNDK. Plus, really, do you want to be doubling-down on memory chips right now? SNDK, which yesterday jumped $1.81, or 25% to $9.02, is down 96 cents, or 10.6%, to $8.06. (link)
