SlingPlayer Mobile launches for the BlackBerry

Tired of all that email? Well, put the kettle on, kick back and watch some TV on your BlackBerry. SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry smartphones launches on December 30th in beta, offering a choice of live TV (including satellite and cable) or indeed access to your previously-recorded shows, with the SlingPlayer offering you all the control of your home remote. Is there a catch? Well, obviously you need a Slingbox, along with a home network and a BlackBerry. But not just any BlackBerry, only the Bold, Curve 8900, 8820, 8320, Pearl Flip 8220 and Pearl 8120. Notice something missing? The Storm of course. Typically the one BlackBerry with a screen able to do mobile viewing justice isn't able to get it. Oh well...we live in hope for 2009.
