Stephen Fry tops 100,000 Twitter followers

 
Stephen Fry is now a household name in tech circles due to his detailed ramblings and analysis of the latest smartphones and legendary love of Apple . But his dominance of the social networking, micro-blogging site Twitter , is rapidly becoming his proudest tech achievement.   It only took a couple of months for Fry to rack up his first 50,000 followers, thanks to his short, witty and personal messages. His slamming of Windows Vista and the BlackBerry Bold also won him wider media attention.   However, it was his plugging of the service that caused a dramatic surge in followers, catapulting the star past the 100,000 mark. The increased attention has forced Stephen to issue a friendly set of suggestions to new Twitterers on his blog.   Stephen Fry is now only out-Twittered by a single individual – President Barack Obama, who boasts 225,000 followers.
