Thanko launches the MP4 spy watch

Not the first bit of futuristic technology we've featured from Thanko - but we think the company's latest MP4 watch is possibly its finest moment yet. On the face of it, this is just a digital watch, albeit a slightly more chunky one with a larger-than-usual digital display. And if you fancy trying your hand at a spot of spying, that's definitely a plus point. Because within that geeky exterior is camera, able to shoot video in 352x288 and take stills at 640x480. Check the time, take a snap, job done. But that's not all. The MP4 is also a wrist-based entertainment hub, offering up MP3/WMA audio playback, AVI video and a photo/text file viewer. Not great for your eyes, but perfect for impressing your mates at the next James Bond Appreciation Society meeting. The watch has just hit Japan for the equivalent of £108.
