In a posting on the PlayStation blog , Sony has given its first official nod to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the successor to superb PS3 title Drake's Fortune.
Details are still thin on the ground, presumably because developer Naughty Dog will be planning on teasing the info out as carefully as possible. That was a tactic that worked well for the first game and the excellent ARG that helped build up the hype.
Here's what we do know: US mag Game Informer reveals that the game revolves around the 13 th century explorer Marco Polo. It is throwing in a couple of new gameplay mechanics, including a stealth mode and "free climbing".
No official gameplay footage has been revealed, but GameTrailers has a brief teaser that shows Uncharted star Nathan Drake looking slightly the worse for wear, trekking across a snowy plain and picking up an ornamental dagger.
