Futuristic Ferrari Monza: hyper-computerized vehicle
PR News: —
... a motorcycle and has full control. Once you exceed a specified speed limit, the computer takes over. The vehicle changes shape resembling an airfoil for maximum aerodynamics. The design creates lift to reduce friction and strong ground effects keep you from taking off. The 2 manta ray like fins adjust to channel air smoothly across the vehicle while also serving to make you look totally badass!

... to the engines that’ll automatically drive the car at intensely high speeds for us. This concept design by Iman Maghsoudi is said to be like any other car. The driver will have total control during low speed travels but once you make the jump to high speeds, the computer takes over and you’ll be off talking on your Ferrari phone without any need to mind the road. We already have the strange looking car designs , now who’s going to design the computer that drives them? Link

... cool as well. Once the driver exceeds a certain speed, the computer will assume the majority of control. Think about it like your handing the steering wheel over to your sat nav. Maghsoudi doesn't mention what kind of functions the computer pilot will handle, or how well it will take verbal directions like "I said turn left, no my left, oh wait this map is upside down". One thing's for sure though - you would not want to be seeing the Blue Screen of Death in one of these. (via YankoDesign ) advertisement

... Once you reach a predetermined speed, an onboard computer changes the car's aerodynamic profile, using winglets called canards ahead of the front wheels to create lift which reduces friction. In most cases, the resulting vehicle would be called an airplane, but with the Monza, ground effects come into play to keep it on terra firma.
I'll admit that I'm no aerodynamic engineer, but this all sounds a little far fetched. Still, you've got to admit that it looks amazing.

Magnificent Men And Their Flying Ferrari
Yanko Design —
... While designer Iman Maghsoudi gave us a Ferrari that was akin to operating a PC touching speeds of 200 km/h; designer Vincent Montreuil has a different vision for the speedster. Adding a third dimension to the pulsating sport, he envisions race tracks in the air, demarcated with levitating lines (or ropes; u get the drift); and a Flying Ferrari X-Racer in the forefront. Call him crazy or over-ambitious, but it’s not hard to imagine his concept taking shape…say 50 years from now! ...

Full automated Monza allows you to control the machine through your PC-like control panel, but only if you want to. It’s smart enough to act on it’s own. And yes there are little wheels back there on those fins. ...
