Intel May Drive into EV Battery Market
Eco Geek Latest — ... for the Chevrolet Volt, which has basically had to help battery manufacturers build up from scratch. And, of course, this means GM is paying a premium for the batteries. If Intel entered this market with a significant capital investment, it wouldn't just make them money, it would knock the cost of electric vehicles down significantly. So I'm going to have to agree with Andy Grove on this one. Bite the bullet Intel. Diverisfy, grow, and make the world a better place. Via Engadget
