Apple iPhone TV advert banned
PR News: — ... advertiser’s assurances. Although the ASA said that claims made by Apple implied that “users would be able to access all websites and see them in their entirety”. It was concluded by the ASA that “the ad gave a misleading impression of the internet capabilities of the iPhone” and that the advert had not explained the limitations of the iPhone. The TV advert must not be broadcast again in the same form the ASA ordered. Source: guardian

iPhone 3G advert banned due to misleading claims about internet access
T3.com All — ... of the internet are on the iPhone". This is of course untrue, with many Flash and Java-enabled sites not being supported by the iPhone. Apple's already responded to the take-down order, by claiming the usage of that phrase was meant to imply every website was available to browse on the iPhone, but whether they actually work is another issue entirely. This marks quite a change for Apple, who is used to dishing out the orders and shutting down websites, companies and individuals. (via The Guardian ) advertisement
