... in the video), you can now pair them and actually get some real work done on the iPhone.
According to the perpetrator, Ralf Ackermann, the hack comes as a regular jailbreak application and will fit right in to any iPhone application which uses text entry. Sadly, it is as yet unavailable to the public. We're keeping an eye out though. If I can get hold of this before the summer I can achieve the holy grail of the Barcelona-based gadget blogger -- posting from the beach.

Is This iPhone Working with a Bluetooth Keyboard?
jkOnTheRun —
... Hope you like silent movies, because that’s what the above video is. That’s OK because a picture is worth a thousand words, right? The vid is a demo that shows Apple’s wireless Bluetooth keyboard typing on a jailbroken iPhone. Is it really? I obviously can’t tell for sure: I do see a bodiless hand typing on a Bluetooth keyboard and I then see the characters appear on the iPhone. But I also see a WiFi icon and more telling: I don’t see a Bluetooth icon. Hey, this is jailbroken territory; I suppose anything is possible. ...

... We can see from the video (assuming that all is legit), that the iPhone not only logs keystrokes from the Bluetooth Keyboard, but it also ports keyboard commands to a native iPhone email application. The video bodes well for a working iPhone Bluetooth keyboard solution being made available in the near future - at least to those of us with Jailbroken iPhones.

... In case you’re still not satisfied with your iPhone keyboard you could always get a bigger, full QWERTY, Bluetooth-enabled keyboard . The product isn’t officially supported by Apple and it’s basically a hack solution. And the hack isn’t really available yet either but we might see a friendly version arrive soon. Although it would be nice if Apple came up with a similar solution for everyone that wants a real keyboard for messaging and email. via ubiqkom Tags: Apple , Apple , bluetooth , iPhone , keyboard , ...

... – You can already get an iPhone case that doubles as a wallet. So why not one that turns the metaphorical Swiss army knife into a literal one? I'm sure someone like Gerber, Leatherman, or Victorinox could make a slim case that held at least a knife, scissors, and a bottle opener. (And hopefully designed it in such a way that you wouldn't be torquing it against the iPhone screen. Krueesush!)
