ASUS are holding out strong hopes for their Eee Top desktop PC, envisaging the 15.6-inch touchscreen device to be a flagship product for 2009. Although its been up for preorder for some time now, ASUS have only just got around to releasing product details. The Eee Top ET1602 and Eee Top ET1603 are both pretty much the same basic machine, powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor with 1GB of RAM, a 160GB 5,400rpm hard-drive and WiFi ‘n’; the only difference is in graphics, with the ET1603 getting an ATI Mobility Radeon HD3450 over the ET1602’s integrated Intel video chipset.

Asus ya ha publicado de forma oficial los dos modelos de Asus Eee Top con pantalla táctil en su web.
Estos todo en uno tiene una pantalla de 15.6 pulgadas táctil, lo que te permite usar la interfaz de Asus diseñada con grandes botones y efectos para que todo parezca más sencillo, tal y como hicieron con su versión Linux en los ultraportátiles Eee. Usarán el procesador Atom estándar, un N270 de 1.6GHz, con WiFi 802.11n integrado, webcam de 1.3 megapíxeles, disco duro de 160GB y 1GB de memoria RAM.

In last month's demo video of Asus forthcoming all-in-one Eee Top PC, we saw a few glitches as the touch screen computer failed to, well, let itself be touched. Asus must be confident that those wrinkles are gone, as it has posted the official details for two Eee Top models today, the ET1602 and ET1603.
Both Eee Top models feature a 1.6GHz Atom processor, widescreen 15.6" display, a gig of RAM, 160GB hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi, speakers, SD card reader and a 1.3MP webcam. They'll both ship with Windows XP Home modified with Asus' big-icon Easy Mode.

ASUS rolls out the Eee Top all-in-one touch-screen PC in Taiwan

The Chinese version of Engadget is reporting that ASUS has officially the new all-in-one PC – the Eee Top – in Taiwan. Going for around 18,900 Taiwanese dollars (or around $580 U.S. dollars), the Eee Top is a touch-screen PC featuring an “Easy Mode” UI running on top of Windows XP. Not surprisingly, if you launch a non ASUS application, you’ll quickly leave the user interface and be presented with the standard Windows XP UI – which isn’t quite finger friendly. What would be interesting is to take this system and install Windows 7 on it!
