Gizmología — AMD anunció una nueva versión de su chip de placa de video que estará integrada en las placas madres. Se trata del ATI Radeon E4690 que posee la segunda generación de decodificación de la empresa que le permite la aceleración necesaria para reproducir videos en HD. Además también tiene 512MB de VRAM, soporta DirectX 10.1 y OpenGL 3.0. El chip mide 35mm y fue diseñado para estar integrado en la placa madre, lo que reduce el consumo de energía, su precio y, finalmente, tiene la capacidad de decodificar 3D.
