So in other words, you'll be able to buy or rent a downloadable version of a movie the same day it comes out on DVD.
What's more, the goal is to let you buy the movie once and then play it on however many devices you choose.
So if you buy a downloadable version of, say, the new Star Trek movie that you initially intend to watch on your TV, you'll also be able to later watch the movie on your laptop without paying an additional fee.
Seems like a clever idea. I do think the chatter about this being the death of DVD is overdone, though. ...
