The Liquid Lamp from Caina, a Japanese design retailer, adds a touch of film noir surrealism to any room. Depending on whether you select white or red, the lamp appears to be spilling milk or blood.

Liquid Lamp: it's so spooky
Gizmodiva.com — ... definitely a piece of art (if you forget the spooky factor). The lamp takes a single S35 minilamp bulb rated at 25 watts and is activated by an inline slider switch built into the electrical cord. Measuring 12.5 inches high, 11.5 inches wide and 8.2 inches in depth it is definitely a great piece of decor. Priced at 19,950 yen (about $227) for white and 23,100 yen (about $262) for red, the cool Liquid Lamp is available at Rinkya stores. Source

Coolest Gadgets — ... out. Both lamps are being sold on Caina’s The Design Shop.  There is a wall mounted version, as well as a smaller desktop lamp.  I prefer the desk version myself, just because the appearance of an invisible stand adds a cool effect.  Each one of the lamps is handmade, so of course these are going to be a little pricey.  You can pick up the red version for 23,100 yen (about $262) and the white version for slightly cheaper at 19,950 yen (about $227).
