Tabbed Browsing Coming to the Blackberry
Berry Reporter —
... To me the ability to tab browsers might be the greatest invention every made. I know I am a little quirky but I don’t care, I just hated when we used to have to open a new window in some of the older browsers. Apparently RIM loves tabbed browsers to because according to BGR the Blackberry OS 5.0 browser will come with tabbed features. Although we know that RIM has played with the tabbed browser before it seems they are taking a big step with the new OS update. Don’t expect greatness yet but an easier, more functional tabbing feature is exactly what our Berry ...
RIM BlackBerry OS 5.0: Tabbed browsing in action
PR News: —
... RIM’s BlackBerry OS 5.0, in these screenshots a new feature has emerged, tabbed browsing. Apparently RIM have been working on tabbed browsing for over two years.
Currently the process is easy to use, however a few improvements need to be made, especially when switching between tabs, seeing as how BlackBerry’s thrive on quick and simple interfaces we would imagine that this will become a lot easier before the official release of OS 5.0.

BlackBerry OS 5.0 Gets Tabbed Browsing at Last [BlackBerry]
Gizmodo —
The latest beta of BlackBerry OS 5.0 has tabbed browsing. Great! Except "switching between two or more tabs is, quite frankly, a huge pain in the ass as there is no keyboard shortcut." I'd rather have Javascript performance that isn't completely shittastic, personally. [BGR]

... before the final version of the browser goes out. BlackBerry’s native browser has always been a black mark on the otherwise admirable device, especially considering its practical inability to to a damned thing with JavaScript. OS 5.0 is expected to host a few other features, too; if you’d like to try some of them out for yourself, a leaked build for the Bold and 8900 is over here.

Tabbed browsing to be included in BlackBerry OS 5.0 - maybe
CrunchGear —
... BlackBerry users rejoice! Tabbed browsing is probably coming with the next major OS release. We say probably ’cause it’s currently included in the beta release, but that doesn’t mean for sure that it will make the cut. Anyway, we would love to see tabbed browsing or something that will efficiently allow us to run multiple browser windows. The current build requires users to bring up a menu and select a different tab, but there isn’t any reason why a keyboard shortcut wouldn’t be included in the final release - at least we hope there is a shortcut. ...

... The Tour is doing well, Google Voice just released an app for their app store, MyBlackBerry is live, and now we can confirm that tabbed browsing is indeed coming to BlackBerries. RIM has been working on this feature since 2007, and it looks like everything will finally be ready come the release of OS 5.0. According to Boy Genius the process of opening up new tabs is fairly intuitive, but switching between them can be a major pain. There's no keyboard shortcut to take you to all of your tabbed windows, an oversight RIM will hopefully fix before release. If the iPhone has ...
