Verizon gearing up for WiFi-toting BlackBerry Storm 2 in September?
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
... prayers for WiFi answered.
The BlackBerry Storm 2 is also rumored to hit market with more interesting features in tow. We’re putting our money on upgraded camera and other under-the-hood upgrades. Unfortunately, we don’t see the Storm 2 ditching the SurePress touchscreen - RIM has invested too much into SurePress to let it die after just a single generation. But, a few SurePress software-tweaks and a less harsh “click” would be nice to see.

RUMOUR: BlackBerry Storm II due in September

... pretty excited about this rumour. Sources suggest that RIM will be releasing a second iteration of the touchscreen BlackBerry in September this year. One of the biggest failings of the original Storm, aside from the horrible touchscreen, was that it didn't support Wi-Fi. The new version apparently will, which will make BlackBerry fans happy. Gadgetell —
... that RIM may be ditching the SurePress on the Storm in favor of a new TruePress. Of course, this mention is also just in the rumor stage as of now.
If nothing else, and assuming that these rumors are accurate, this could lead one to believe that RIM, and maybe Verizon has learned a little something from their earlier mistakes with the original Storm. If you ask me, the Storm had so much potential, but it looks like it could still be a good device.
