... help is at hand from Samsung, who have come up with a new technology that could see an end to screen problem in the sun. Samsung Electronics have developed color active matrix electrophoretic display (EPD) e-paper, which is carbon nanotube-based.
This technology can be used for cell phone use, as the carbon nanotubes will allow the screen to be very thin. On of the reasons that the new screen can be seen in direct sunlight is for one reason, low power consumption.
