Well this is just perfect. At the exact moment Li Ning was rounding the lip of the Bird's Nest during the amazing torch-lighting climax, someone snapped this photo of our good friend the BSOD nestled amongst the Nest's steel twigs. Perhaps an Opening Cermonies IT dude spit out his coffee on the machines in the server room when Li took to the sky? Another question is what a projection screen ...

BSOD strikes the Olympics
Krunker —
... Friday night, a BSOD projection could be seen near the top of the roof. I totally missed this but then again, I think I fell asleep by the time the torch lighting was taking place (that was one long but beautiful ceremony!). In any event, I’m going to have to go back and sift through my HD recording to see if I could see it more clearly. Hilarious.. and classic. Now I wonder.. was this brought to you by Lenovo like everything else? HA! Thanks to Andrew for this one!

Olympics Opening Ceremonies plagued by BSOD

... behind the steel cross beams of the Bird’s Nest. How embarrassing! But of course, with the endless projection screens that surround the entire lip of the stadium, it’s inevitable one would fail.
Well, maybe not inevitable but everything else went off without a hitch. One mistake is forgivable. Besides, the BSOD can just remind us of how similar we all are. In the U.S. or China, we all get technological glitches at the most inopportune moments.
