Yet another Mobile Browser Enters the Game: Bolt
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
... video, JavaScript, AJAX, RSS, and all of the usual security features. The biggest thing is that Bolt works with most phones, so it’s potentially a great option for those without a smartphone, who are already having issues deciding which browser to go with. It doesn’t look like it will compete heavily with the entrenched big boys, but could provide some decent browsing to those with lower-end Java-based handsets. I’m still waiting on my beta invite, but go ahead and sign yourself up and let us know how she runs. ...
Java-based Bolt Joining the Mobile Browser Wars, Doesn't Look Horrible [Mobile Browsers]

... should be almost identical between platforms. Like Skyfire of Opera Mini, Bolt performs a good deal of page optimization server-side, meaning that it's fast. In fact, compared to the Bold's stock browser, it's really fast. Rendering accuracy looks about as good as any other WebKit-based mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, S60 default browser) but appears significantly snappier than its competition. Bolt is in a private beta for now, but you can request an invite here. J2ME is nearly ubiquitous, barring the obvious iPhone/G1 exceptions. That means Bolt will ...
We Are Giving The Bolt BlackBerry Browser The Once Over
RIMarkable —
Thanks to BlackBerry Cool who has unlimited downloads of the closed Beta, we are giving the Bolt Mobile Web Browser the once over.
I’ve only had Bolt installed for a few minutes, however, it appears to be a heck of a lot quicker than Opera. So far I really like it.
You can download Bolt here. Use berrycool as your referral code.

Dealzmodo Hack: Don't Give Up On Your Symbian Phone [Dealzmodo Hack]
Gizmodo —
... , a Java app, will work on virtually any phone. It's not the prettiest browser, but server-side data compression and clever formatting tricks make it a good fit for smaller-screened Symbian hardware. Bolt is another Java-based browser in the same lightweight, data-conscious vein, and it matches Opera's app feature for feature. You know, six of one... ...
Bitstream’s Bolt mobile browser
D' Technology Weblog —
Since its debut at Mobile World Congress, Bitstream's Bolt mobile browser has been installed more than a million times. Bolt is compatible with any mobile handset that supports the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) 2.0, the Java spec for embedded devices. Page rendering takes place outside of the phone on Bolt's servers, and content is heavily compressed for consumption, so even 2G freebie phones can handle full Web browsing. The app itself is only 140 Kb in size. Included in the huge list of supported devices are handsets from Research in ...

Why take the risk? It integrates GPS location, has a proximity sensor, and other features and aesthetic niceties. Grab it here, if you dare. Google Voice: We ...

... social media fans because it's another great way to keep in touch. The AIM BlackBerry app is nothing spectacular but it does everything you need it to do. You can perform all the basic AIM duties and tell your friends about the new articles you just submitted. Another good thing about the app is it can stay active when you exit so you are still able to get your notifications, which means you won't miss a beat.

The Bolt browser from Bitstream is leaving its beta tag behind and entering the world of grown-up web browsers. Bolt is based on Java, so it runs on any phone with current Java support. The company claims that the browser offers a full desktop experience, due to the server rendering of the web content. Version 1.5 provides the ability to stream videos of any length and download files from within Bolt. Bolt is free and can be downloaded directly to the phone. ...
