Canesta TV Gesture UI could change the way we swap channels

... across before but, the TV Gesture UI developed by the company may finally give it some fame. The company has announced a chip that would be integrated into the TV to furnish gesture control. Canesta is seeking assistance from Hitachi and Gesture Tek for the technology that would change the way we swap programmes. A CMOS sensor embedded in the chip will track motion and interpret it on a virtual map of the TV screen. Check the video atop to see how the interface works.
