Say it isn’t so! According to DigiTimes, Compal is cutting back on their budget for researching and developing new mobile Internet devices or MIDs because they just aren’t sure if the market is stable enough for them.
Now, this isn’t to say that Compal will quit shipping MIDs, because they still plan to, but the volumes will be decreased, as their attention has been shifted quite a bit to the netbook market as of late.
This doesn’t really seem to indicate the end of the MID altogether. ...
