... pick one up. In reality, the only people that are likely to fly enough to absorb problem levels of gamma radiation are airline staff and pilots; who have no real way of escaping it as an occupational hazard unless they quit their jobs.
In the event of a nuclear apocalypse, there might be a use for a gamma ray detecting watch, but barring that, I don’t see much use. If you are wearing one of these then it probably goes well with your tin foil hat.
