A nice idea for people who don't know how to type well, maybe. But if you're just getting familiar with a keyboard, do you really want to learn on a setup that's completely wrong? What happens when you need to use someone else's computer? You can't easily switch it to the ABC layout. Just take the time to learn to type on a regular keyboard. It's worth it.
