Nokia's 5800 XpressMusic shows up in FCC with US 3G support
Engadget — So, here's what's awesome: Nokia's well received 5800 XpressMusic will be making the trip to US soil with US 3G support baked right in. Here's what's just so-so: there's no AT&T logo on the photos, so we're assuming Nokia will only be selling this one here in unlocked, unsubsidized form. Of course, we're just thrilled to know the phone will be making a proper debut in the US of A, but those looking to pick one up will ...

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Appears on the FCC with 3G Support [Nokia]
Gizmodo — ... . But as Engadget points out, the touchscreen phone doesn't have any branding for a US carrier, which suggests it'll be released here unlocked only. That's nice for gadget freedom, but not so nice for pricing. Expect the 5800 to command a pretty high price point when it gets to our shores. [FCC via ...

Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic passes the FCC 3G and all
SlashGear — Just after getting our hands on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the FCC has released information confirming that the touchscreen handset will be hitting the US complete with 3G. Now from what we can see there is no AT&T logo or branding from another carrier. This leads us be believe that Nokia will bless us with an unlocked version that of course will be unsubsidized. We are certainly glad to hear that the 5800 XpressMusic will be making its debut here complete with 3G and all. The FCC reports also show a bunch of internal and external photos along with the instruction manual. China’s initial release did not even have 3G so Nokia really must like us here in the US. The only thing that could make this ...

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with AT&T 3G frequencies gets FCC approval!
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis — Back in October, we saw the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic passing through FCC hurdle. However, at that point, we were talking about the device that used Europe’s 3G frequencies (2100 MHz). Now, we have a new version of Nokia’s all-touchscreen smartphone getting FCC’s seal of approval. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic we’ve spotted uses “proper” 3G frequencies to sing along AT&T’s 3G network. That’s 850 and 1900 MHz baby, meaning we could expect to see the Tube hitting AT&T’s portfolio in near future. CES is coming and I guess AT&T will use the opportunity to go all official with the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Stay tuned… [Via: MobileBurn] ...
